Welcome Our New Family Members

Today the girls adopted a couple of betta fish, the closest things we'll have to a pet for a while! Though talking about it recently Riley told me she looooooved puppies, and Hailey told me today that maybe we'd get a fish or a kitty. Not so much.

Hailey's is red and white and named Nee Nee, and Riley's is blue and named No No. Nee Nee and No No is a silly hand puppet game that they invented a long time ago, which I don't pretend to understand and thus cannot describe to you. They picked the names and I think they're perfect for Hailey & Riley's fishies!

(P.S. I've been assured both fish are female and thus may live compatibly together. So far so good.)

Easter

Phew, home from our third weekend of travels. Had a great time in MA, but Chris is happy to have us home since he sat this trip out. The Easter Bunny found us girls in MA though.

You know we've been in Burlington, VT, a while (or haven't gone to church in a while) when on Sunday the girls kept saying they were ready to go to "Church Street" (one of our favorite places in Burlington) instead of church!

Opening Easter baskets...Riley playing with her new yo-yo.

More bubbles!

Hailey & Auntie Sandy

Hailey very concerned with what Riley is doing:

Looking pretty identical:

I just couldn't decide which of these next silly pictures to put up.

Egg hunting! Or "Eastering" as Riley calls it.

It was great to hang out with Erin & Pat, the cousins, Auntie Sandy and all the Grandparents. I can't wait to see what we do in May - in Vermont. If anyone wants to come visit us, we're staying put for a while!

More from the Weekend

These girls have always loved the swings. The last few summers, anytime we were at a playground, the majority of the time was spent in the swings and we always had a hard time getting them out! Well, even though they've mastered the big girl swings, they still love those baby swings. Who can blame them, they can go much higher without fear of falling out!

Hailey & Daddy in flight.

The boys enjoying the park. Dad, I like your purse. :)

Checking out each other's chocolate faces.

Let the sugar high begin!

Hailey being attacked by a bear!

She's ok!

We had a great time, and are ready for our next trip. Three weekends in a row, three road trips and three sets of grandparents! This weekend the girls and I are headed to MA for Easter with Grandma Gerry and crew. Can't wait!

Weekend in North Conway, NH

Grandpa Tom and Grandma Susan invited us to spend a lovely spring weekend with them in North Conway, NH. We had a blast, and took a ton of beautiful pictures of our beautiful blog subjects.

Headed out for a walk with the family:

Bubbles!

Trying to throw balls through the tree:

Kick ball!

and sunbathing.

Riley and Grandma at the top of the "mountain":

More pictures to come!

Bumps and Bruises

Riley took a dive off of a swing today at school. She was on her belly and fell forward onto her nose. She barely cried and told her teachers she was ok! Obviously, she looks very upset about it.

Easter Preview

Chris and I did a little switcheroo this weekend - Friday I left the girls with Grandma, Chris headed out to Massena, and I got a weekend at home by myself! What a treat! I was astonished when they got home tonight at how big the girls seem after just 48 hours.

They had a great weekend, the weather was fantastic, and Daddy brought them to see the Easter Bunny!

But Mommy is glad they're back home. :)

T-Ball and Bubbles

We just can't get enough of Massena! We're back! Auntie Kelli and cousins MacKenzie and Lexi are visiting from Michigan, so the girls and I ditched Daddy to have a few all-girl days at Grandma's house.

Hailey playing t-ball:

Gotta work on Riley's aim:

Bubbles and "3-D" glasses to make the bubbles look rainbow-y. They kind of made everything rainbow-y. The girls loved them and when looking at the house, said "it's just the house I've always wanted to live in - a rainbow house!" Pretty trippy.

MacKenzie!
