In fact, we're moving to Vermont! We decided we have had enough of city life and are taking drastic measures. Seriously, Chris was offered a job at a small firm that was too good to pass up, about a half hour outside Burlington, VT. We decided to put the house on the market to see what would happen, and we count ourselves very lucky that we sold it within a week for a reasonable amount in this economy. Fate seems to be dictating this one, all the stars aligned, and off we go!
Unfortunately, it does mean that Chris will be saying goodbye to Sheehan Vitullo, which Chris and Josh poured a lot of sweat into this past 13 months. Josh will continue to keep the firm humming along, and we have to thank Josh and Kristina for all of their patience and understanding with us this last month.
Chris actually started his job this past Wednesday. He will be staying with the aforementioned Uncle Jack & Aunt Susan (of fishing fame) who live just outside of Burlington, Monday through Friday until the girls and I move up. That's the last piece of the puzzle, we actually haven't found a new place yet! So beware, the girls and I might start showing up on a few doorsteps after we close on our house August 16th.
What will I be doing in Vermont, you ask? With any luck, continuing with my current employer part time from home, but more importantly, spending a whole lot of time with the Misses Hailey & Riley, which I absolutely could not be happier about. And Arlinda? Well, again, fate decided that one...she ends her year with us and heads home to Sweden to start school in August as well.
So if you enjoy hiking, skiing, or just all the fun things the Burlington area has to offer (and if you've never been, I promise you it's a great city), don't hesitate to let us know when you'll be stopping by. Best wait until September though.
What do the little girls think about this move? Well, they're fine with it, as long as we bring daddy, our toothbrushes, and their toys with us! And trust me, the cow obsessed princesses will fare just fine in the country. They've already given the cows lining Church Street and Shelburne Farms their stamp of approval. Moo!
