Lake Monsters

No, that's not what we're calling Hailey & Riley these days, it's where we went yesterday - to see the Vermont Lake Monsters, our local minor league baseball team affiliated with the Oakland A's. And their mascot, of course, is Champ! It was so much fun and the girls loved it! (Of course I forgot my camera, so I once again apologize for the phone pictures.)

Chris always said he was perfectly happy that we had two girls, as long as he got one of them to watch sports with him. Well, we may have a winner. Riley is so into it, asks a lot of really good questions (like "do we want him to hit it, or do we want the other guy to catch it?") and cheers constantly (usually shouting "he winned!" after every at bat). Hailey enjoys it to, but daddy may have found his sports companion.

That capped off a great week of "vacation". Chris and I came home from Massena on Tuesday, and the girls stayed with Grandma Sandy and their cousins for another 3 days! They had so much fun, getting spoiled rotten I'm sure. And though we still had to work, it was a little like vacation for Chris and me too - we managed two date nights in a row, plus lobster at home on the third night. Then Grandma brought them home to us Friday, so we got to hang out a few more days with Grandma, Lexi & Kenz.

Next weekend: the girls first camping trip!
