The Adventurer Explorer Girls

Despite some illnesses and major changes of plans this past weekend (we miss you Josh, Kristina & "baby" [toddler] Zachary!) the girls and I went on a great hike and cave exploration at Smuggler's Notch and Spruce Peak (at Mt. Mansfield & Smuggler's Notch State Park - where kitty boy got his name!).  We were there over 4.5 hours, did some serious cave exploration (seriously, I really wasn't sure where we were going to come out and if we'd be able to get down the cliff at one point) and hiked straight up some serious rocks, over an hour each way.  At the top?  The beautiful Sterling Pond, VT's highest elevation pond, for an awesome cooling dip before the hike back down.  When we got home, and the girls raved about the trip, Chris said, "you know, we're never going to be able to go for a hike without a pond at the top again."  Yep.

We did not climb up this!
