October

Lots of little things going on in the Sheehan household. Grandma Sandy came back for a week and helped out with the girls while I finished up my very last week of work. I worked almost full time for the first 8 weeks we were here while we waited for my replacement to start in Boston (because I'm that nice) but it was certainly a challenge. I'm glad to have it behind me and am enjoying my new job as stay at home mom. It still feels very weird, but this is only week 2, so perhaps I'll get used to it. I've got a few freelance things that should keep me entertained, but I still have lots of time to hit all the preschool play groups in town.

My first week off, we finally got Grandma Gerry up to visit! It was just a quick visit but a fun one. I didn't take many pictures, but I liked this one, taken during story time at ECHO aquarium and science center in Burlington. They had a leaf theme, and Hailey plopped herself smack in the middle of the action.

Grandma Gerry and I also got our sewing on and made some kicking Halloween costumes for the girls. I can't wait for the Halloween post so I can show them off! I might even get some up this weekend because we have a few Halloween parties to hit.

And in other big news, after off and on potty training for almost a year, we've finally graduated to underwear. I've been dreading this for months, and it was me that wasn't ready, not the girls. They're doing well at home, but have had lots of accidents during their two mornings a week at school. Thankfully the teachers don't mind. Wish us luck and send donations for extra laundry detergent!

And Chris is good too. :)
