I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but if you are ever up this way, check out the
Shelburne Museum. It's kind of hard to describe, but it's way cool for grown ups and kiddos. It's one of the most well maintained museums I've ever been to, and it's huge. There are 39 different buildings/structures to explore on the grounds, including the restored 220-foot steamboat
Ticonderoga (which lives on land in the middle of the museum), a light house, a train engine, a carousel, and countless other historical buildings and exhibits. Even though we are members (because it's 5 minutes from our house) and the girls and I have been there both on our own and with our guests more times than we can now count, I've only been in a small fraction of the buildings. We usually start with a trip to the carousel (which we ride a half dozen times), check out the circus exhibit, then head to the children's playhouse.
I didn't actually mean to go on about the Shelburne Museum, but it really is one of the coolest places in the Burlington VT area. We took Grandma Gerry and Grandpa Scott this weekend. Oh yeah, we ran into Chris's cousin Nate and wife Gretchen too! (I've learned this spring and summer that running into people you know is an almost hourly occurrence up here. Leave the house and you'll probably run into someone.)
Well, on to the pictures I was posting before I started typing. Here are the girls playing dress up in the children's playhouse.
Hailey twirling in a way-too-big poodle skirt.

Sad clown Riley.

Stay tuned; next up: Bowling!
